The Department of Chemical Engineering organizes a scientific discussion session on the role of youth in building society
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the Department of Chemical Engineering organized a scientific discussion session entitled (Youth and Social Change) on Thursday, 24/10/2024. the lecture was given by Dr. Nagham Saadoun Rahima from Al-Mustansiriya University - Department of Anthropology. During the lecture, a detailed presentation was given on the importance of the role of youth and their contribution to achieving social change and the extent of youth's abilities to influence society through youth's sense of responsibility that deepens the idea of social change because youth today are more powerful and capable of bringing about this change due to what youth today possess of awareness, knowledge, energy and renewed vitality in their interaction with variables to bring about change in societies through the active participation of youth in building and advancing society, deepening its path and moving towards the process of rebuilding society. In conclusion, the lecturer was honored with a certificate of appreciation from the head of the department in appreciation of her efforts in giving the lecture.
Head of Chemical Engineering Department Receives Patent for Advanced Water Treatment Technology in Oil Refineries
The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, conducted an on-site visit to oversee the progress of the reconstruction and renovation efforts underway in the Department of Chemical Engineering's annex building. This visit was attended by Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, and the department’s administrative staff, Dr. Uday Hammoudi, Director of the Construction and Projects Department, and the University Aesthetic Committee.
Dr. Al-Ghabban stated that the University of Technology has developed a comprehensive program to enhance the infrastructure across all scientific and administrative sections of the university through extensive building and laboratory renovations. The university is committed to advancing the educational process to align with quality standards and labor market demands while meeting all the needs of its students.
The University President expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the renovation of the department’s laboratories, acknowledging the engineering and administrative teams for their efforts in meeting the required technical standards.
