قسم الهندسة الكيمياوية يناقش رسالة ماجستير عن استخدام مثبطات خضراء صديقة للبيئة عبارة عن قشور البرتقال والكركم لتثبيط التاكل في المعدات النفطية حيث تم تطبيقها على الفولاذ منخفض الكربون في البيئة الملحية وتحديداً مياه البحر.

Green inhibitors for corrosion protection of petroleum equipment

وهدفت رسالة الطالبة هاجر عامر جدّوع الى حماية المعدات النفطية من التآكل باستخدام مواد صديقة للبيئة .
إذ تم أستخدام المثبطات التي تم تحضيرها للحماية من التآكل حبي اظهرت التجارب أن للمثبط الاول Orange Peelكفاءةعالية بتثبيط 80.43 عند درجة حرارة الغرفة وتركيز 1200ppm بينما أظهر المثبط الثاني Turmeric كفاءة تثبيط 97.27 أيضا عند درجة حرارة الغرفة وتركيز1200ppm . وتم اجراء عدة فحوصات من ضمنها AFM ,XRF ,Contact Angle , FTIR, FESEM.
تألفت لجنة المناقشة من أ.د.كاظم فنطيل عبدالحسين(رئيساً)،وعضوية كل من أ.د.خالد حامد رشيد. و د.أحمد ياسين علي مستشار النفط والطاقة في مجلس النواب العراقي وباشراف كل من أ.د. جمال مانع علي و أ.م.بشير احمد عبد الحسين ، فضلا عن تقويم الرسالة لغوياً من قبل أ.م.د فاروق أحمد مهدي من الجامعة التكنولوجية، وعلمياً من قبل أ.د.رنا عفيف مجيد من الجآمعة التكنولوجية و أ.م.د. شيماء عبدالرحمن من جامعة بغداد.
واثمرت دراسة الطالبة عن نشر بحثين في مستوعبات كلارفيت وسكوباس ضمن الربع الاول والثالث وتم التسجيل براءة اختراع في دار الوثائق العراقيةوقد تم قبول الرسالة بتقدير( امتياز) .
قسم الهندسة الكيمياوية في الجامعة التكنولوجية يستقبل طالب عربي للدراسة ضمن مشروع ادرس في العراق.
ضمن مبادرة معالي وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الدكتور نعيم العبودي المحترم باطلاق مشروع ( ادرس في العراق ) لقبول الطلبة العرب والاجانب في الدراسات الاولية والعليا في الجامعات العراقية، و في إطار هذه المبادرة التحق الطالب ( محمد سامي أبكر) من دولة السودان للدراسة في قسم الهندسة الكيمياوية في الجامعة التكنولوجية. ويعد هذا البرنامج خطوة علمية رائدة لاستقبال الطلبة العرب و الأجانب ودعوة إلى الراغبين في الدراسة إلى التقديم والأستفادة من المبادرة الدراسية في الجامعات العراقية. وتأتي مبادرة ادرس في العراق في إطار الجهود العلمية التي تسعى الوزارة من خلالها تعزيز التبادل الثقافي والتعاون الدولي وتشجيع الراغبين في للحصول على مقاعد دراسية مدعومة لما تمثله الجامعات العراقية من مرتكز علمي ومؤثر في الاوساط الاكاديمية.
