Within the scientific and cultural activities of the Department of Chemical Engineering for the first semester of the academic year 2017 – 2018 and under the auspices of the president of the University of Technology prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir, the Department of Chemical Engineering held a religious lecture for the sixth year entitled: Lessons and assessment of sacrifices of Imam Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him). The lecture included two parts. The first part was a lecture given by Al-Sheikh Mohammed Hassan Jiyad and the second was a poem entitled "Poems about the virtues of Ahl Al-bet (May Allah be pleased with them)", which was given by Mr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Hussein. At the end of the lecture, certificates were awarded.
