The Department of Chemical Engineering welcomes first-year students for the academic year 2023-2024
As part of the University of Technology preparations to welcome new students, the Chemical Engineering Department welcomes first-year students in all scientific branches in the presence of Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department. During the reception, the head of the department stressed the importance of strengthening the theoretical and practical aspects of students in accordance with the vision of the University of Technology, which attaches great importance to the applied aspect. It was also stressed the need for all faculty members and administrative staff to cooperate in order to implement the Bologna process with all flexibility and smoothness in order to improve the educational process. On the other hand, the aides to the head of the department, as well as the heads of the scientific branches, reviewed the specifics of each scientific branch within the department in terms of the scientific aspect and its role in the industry or field of work. On a related level, Lect. Dr. Qusay Jaafar Rashid gave an introductory lecture about the Department of Chemical Engineering, highlighting the role of the chemical engineer in building the various chemical and petroleum industries in order to build a scientific economy based on the knowledge economy. On a related level, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrahman Nsaif explained in his lecture to the students the most important opportunities available in the industrial sector for the chemical engineer and the role of the chemical engineer in developing the industry and serving society.
